About Us

Cell Network as a company was established in October 1995 when the company first became an authorized MTN dealer for Transtel Cellular. During the period of October 1995 and September 2008, Cell Network purchased 'Electronic Accessory World', 'Cellphone Warehouse' and 'Cell Focus', taking their distribution from 6 to 12 outlets in the Pretoria region. In September 2008, Cell Network CC merged with Impact Cellular CC to form Cell Network (Pty)Ltd, which increased their number of outlets from 12 to 18 across Pretoria and Johannesburg.

Cell Network (Pty) Ltd. simultaneously acquired the distribution network of Cellphonics Ltd within the Western Cape region in October 2008. Thus making their footprint National for the first time and increasing the number of outlets to 26. During the course of 2009, Cell Network also acquired 'Zululand Cellular' in KwaZulu-Natal and 'Cell IT' in Gauteng, once again increasing their store count to 36 by the end of 2009, establishing the company in the province of Kwazulu-Natal.

The opening of additional stores and the conversion of 13 MTN owned stores during 2009 and 2010 expanded Cell Network's reach to the Eastern Cape region and increased their number of outlets to 55 by end of January 2011. Cell Network has a National footprint in Gauteng (Pretoria, Johannesburg), Western Cape, Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal making them the largest Independent MTN retailer.
